No communication, no stock, sale too small to care

Thursday 7th Nov I visited the N1 City store to purchase a PS4 on credit. The saleslady showed my wife and I that there are 2 in stock. We proceeded with the application, only my details were requested and completed. We asked when feedback can be expected, 24 -48hrs were we told. Saturday 9th Nov I saw a missed call (I was working the weekend). Monday 11th I went to the shop and they said they require my wife's details as well. We sent the required, only Friday 15th I was informed the documents were not received. We resent the documents Monday 18th and got approved 19th Nov. We asked can we collect that day, we were then told there is no stock but Tokai branch has. The salesman said he will call the branch and arrange for it, waiting for the branch manager to call back. Tokai then sold the stock, but cape gate and tygervalley were getting stock that day, 7 units. Since that day were have been told that there is a shipment arriving but a date cannot be confirmed. We were told to come in and sign to not lose the contract while they wait on stock. We need this for a xmas gift so we signed and paid a deposit. There is no communication from the store unless we reach out first. We are so disappointed, they wanted the sale but cannot deliver. If we were told while the application was in progress that the stock has run out and not sure when more will be recieved, we would not have app**** because this is a xmas gift. It makes the customer feel that their sale is too small for them to care.
