***** about extended warranty!!!

I bought a Defy washing machine from Eastgate House & Home in June 2014. I took the extended warranty out at the same time at a large cost. The extended warranty is still valid until 2018. It appears that the shocks on my machine have started wearing out so I called House and Home Eastgate on Wednesday 10 Aug 2016 and spoke to Marsha. She confirmed the warranty details and the details of my washing machine and told me that Defy would call me to arrange and appointment by the latest of Friday close of business.

I heard nothing for the rest of the week. I called her again on Monday 15 August to find out what was happening. She said she'd find out and call me back. She called late afternoon and told me she spoke to the Defy rep who came to the store and he said it was out of warranty so they couldn't help. I reminded her again that I had an extended warranty that was valid for another two years. She promised to call Defy and contact me first thing on Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday at around 12 pm, having heard nothing I called Marsha again only for her to tell me that she couldn't call Defy as the store lines were down but she promised to speak to her manager.

She called me on Wednesday 17th and told me that she had spoken to defy and that as the machine was out of warranty I would have to pay for the call out and repairs. Again I told her that I had an extended warranty and as such they need to inspect the machine at their expense and if covered in terms of the warranty then they need to repair it at their cost. Again she said she would have to speak to her manager.

She called me back later only to advise that I now needed to provide a copy of my ID, the machine serial number even though I purchased it from them and an affidavit, even though she couldn't tell me why they needed an affidavit or what it needed to say. I still have idea when or if defy will come out to assist!!! I queried all of this and was told that the manager would call me. Two hours and counting and I'm still waiting for the manager

At this point I don't think that i will ever hear from the manager. I'm doubting their even is an extended warranty product. In my experience it just seems like a complete and utter **** and they have no intention of honouring the policy!!!
