I bought a washing machine from OK Furniture, was retrenched from work last year and reported to the store

I bought a washing machine from OK Furniture, was retrenched from work last year and reported to the store. They didn't inform me that I had to submit some documents in order for the insurance to cover. I struggled to keep my account upto date due to the retrenchment but kept paying every now and again as I explained my situation to them and then Boom they came and repossessed the item though I've payed over R10000 and only left with about R3000 to settle it. I feel betrayed by the OK Furniture company as I reported the matter as soon as I was retrenched and they failed to inform me to submit documents and then repossessed my item though I've been pushing hard to pay it off.
