HYPER HOUSE AND HOME
In 2012 I entered into a credit agreement with Hyper House and Home to purchaser a Samsung fridge freezer. I paid a R4000 deposit and the balance of the fridge was being paid by monthly instalment by way of a debt order off my account. I had endless problems with the fridge and despite several attempts by the technicians Hyper House and Home agreed to replace the fridge. In May 2014 I was given a new fridge and had to re-sign the paper work at the Umhlanga Branch and enter into a new agreement for the replacement fridge. At this time I only had an outstanding balance of R1 700 left on the account (3 more instalments by debit order). Some months passed and I presumed the account had been settled and closed. I recently had a call from the collections department to say that I have an arrear balance on my account some 16 months later. I have recently received a breakdown on the account and to my horror was told that the debit order was never reloaded onto my account when the fridge was changed. I did not know this and was under the impression that the account was settled and closed as I only had a small balance left to pay. I now owe in excess of R5 000.00 and am being handed over
