House and Home Bay West PE

I purchased two wingback chairs from House and Home Baywest in Port Elizabeth. The sales person was very helpful and that's where the good service ended. I am single and do not have children and I expect that the wingback chairs would last for more than at least the 6 months I had them. The first chairs leg broke off. I noticed that it was only fixed to the chair with 2 *****s drilled in to a soft pine board. The leg was stained and i could not have imagined that it was 3 pieces clued together. I decided to repair the chair with proper legs, but as the the 2nd chairs leg broke. I was at my wits end. So I decided to purchase a second set of legs to fix the ### work, as this wingback legs was stapled to the chair with 3 *****s place next to each other weakening the structure. The 2nd legs could also not be removed as the staples was shot in from the inside of the chair. The whole structure of the chair was so badly made that that pieces was added to the chair to fit the legs. I decided to bring it under the attention of House and Home, which requested that I send photos with and Email to them. I send the photos with an explanation of what happened and what I have found as stated above. I have not received a single receipt of the email or status of the complaint back for the last 2 weeks. Currently the broken chair is still standing in my way and it seam's like this BIG company is just stringing their customers along. SHAME ON YOU. SHAME ON THE WAY YOUR STEEL MONEY FROM PEOPLE. I will never encourage any person so buy from House and Home again in my life. You have no quality control and no follow up etiquette to get back to your "customers" SIES.
