Faulty goods

I am a 23 year old young lady who lives in Durban. I recently opened and account at House & Home for a sound system, Microwave and a DVD. The sound system and Microwave work perfectly fine however the DVD on the other hand does not allow for USBs to play and some other CDs. I purchased the items in 2018 October. I only noticed that the DVD was not working early this year due to the fact that me and my family hardly watch movies. I have however since June made contact with House & Home to inform them that the DVD player does not allow USBs and some other CDs to play. I have twice visited their stores to request that the DVD player be fixed however I have not had any luck because every time they "fixed" and I play it at home, it still does the same thing. I have constantly had to use my money to go back and forth to their stores, and use my off days from work to deal with the matter, and even then I have not had any compensation whatsoever. They have not made any contact to ask if the DVD player is now working unless it is about notifying me of other promotions they have running. I have not missed not even one installment. I mean how hard can it be to fix a simple DVD player? I do believe that they have never tested the DVD player before calling me to come fetch it because if they did they would have noticed that it is still not working. I cannot keep paying for something that is not working. The guarantee for the DVD player is almost ending and yet the DVD is still faulty. I find this to be really unfair, considering that I still have to pay for something that is as good as broken!!!!
