Disgusted

I cannot believe the incompetence I experienced at house and home Meadowdale mall. Never again will I set foot in house and home to purchase anything that is packaged. They do not even check whether their washing machines are faulty or dented before selling them. I purchased a defy washing machine from them through laybuy, when I finally got the machine I had to keep it packaged before unboxing it because it was meant to be a gift. The washing machine was not transported or moved around after purchasing it but upon unboxing it, to our surprise it had a dent. We initially thought the curve might be part of the design then we attempt to use the washing machine and it kept making a noise proving that its faulty. Upon complaining, House and home sent a technician to check the machine and he too confirmed that the washing machine was not only brand new but it was faulty. House and home is refusing to assist with this matter and they do not even have the decency to update us on the progress of the complaint. We are stuck with a pile a washing, a faulty washing machine and above that we have to follow after them without receiving a straight forward response. I am disappointed and disgusted. I strongly advise against purchasing from them, I would much rather go to a demo store and buy an unboxed unit than buying a brand new faulty unit from them.
