Big promises, poor delivery

Earlier today I visited the House and Home Store in Fourways mall, I had seen a dining room set I liked online, so I proceeded to purchase it, I was more than a little surprised when I asked the sales assistant when I could expect delivery and she mentioned it would be today with it being Christmas Eve after all, Nonetheless I was happy to continue on to my new (and vacant) home, waiting for delivery,

I had received two calls from House and home delivery agents about 2 hours after the purchase, first one said maybe I would not get delivery today, so I then asked for them to please confirm with the driver, they obliged and then called me back once again confirming I would receive delivery today,

3 hours further still and I still didn't receive any further communication, I started getting weary so I called the delivery agents again, at this point I spoke to a guys who said he'd call me back in 2 minutes with details....He never did, 15 minutes later I called and spoke to another guy, he said he would come back to me with more info,

Finally, they got word around to the sales person I spoke to and she called me, NOW 6 FULL HOURS after purchase, all the while I had been sitting in an empty house, and she tells me the unit I ordered was damaged according to the driver, and she also mentioned she thought I knew about it and had spoken to the driver....

My day has been totally ruined, time I'll never get back, and all because of totally poor communication to customers, Second time this has happened to me with House and Home!

I'm a reasonable person, I purchased a different furniture item from Coricraft the other day and what I appreciated most about them was their honesty, they only promised me delivery after the public holidays which I completely understand and accept, rather than big promises and ZERO delivery!

Disappointed to say the least!
