BAD SERVICE! No help at all

I’m so dissapointed with the service i’ve received from House&Home and Multichoice. I purchased a DSTV decoder that comes with installation on the 15th of February. The decoder comes with an Installation voucher from Ellies. After purchasing the decoder I spoke to a consultant on the same day, asking who will be reliable for the installation and I was told that i’ll found an installation voucher inside and need to call a number on that voucher and they will help me further.

On the 18th We collected the decoder from House&Home at The Pavillion. I called the number on the installation brochure and the number didn’t go through, I then called the DSTV/Multichoice call center because their number is on the brochure as well. I explained the whole thing regarding the voucher and the installation, a consultant said she’ll give me two numbers of approved DSTV installers in my area that I should contact because I have the Ellies installation voucher.

I called the installer and he agreed to come, he came and installed the dish and was about to activate the decoder. During the installation, his employer called him and told him that voucher was no longer valid as Ellies closed down in Durban.

While i’m so shocked at that, the installer removes the dish and tells me that he has to because i’ll be charged R850 should he continue. Mind you, I CALLED DSTV/MULTICHOICE before the installer came and THEY gave me the installer’s details.

Now I had to pay the Installer’s call fee of about R350 and he left. It’s been 3 days and there’s no feedback from House&Home or Multi choice. I still don’t have a dish installed. The cable is already installed, DSTV is activated but no DISH! I need them to refund my R350. The only thing they’ll be coming with is the dish, the cable was installed already by the installer.

I’m so annoyed and angry at this whole thing. Why include and installation voucher knowing very well it’s invalid!
