bad customer service

II will never forget the experience I got at House & Home in Mthatha branch Bt Ngebs Mall. Bad customer service ever from the stuff to the management. My wife bought a plasma stand there, fine. Now they called and said I must come collect the item or I must pay the delivery fee for them to deliver. I said its okay I will pick the item up myself because their delivery charges are insane. I hired I bukkie, but when I got there. They told me that the item is not there. It’s not warehouse somewhere in Mthatha plaza. Mind that the plaza is on another side. It’s another complex and I already told my driver to wait in the parking lot. I had to tell him again to drive to the plaza. We got there only to find out that the item is assembled yet. I asked the guys there. They said that they were not told that I’m coming and to assemble the item. I took my stand and mind that they didn’t check if it’s broken or not and fragile. I then asked my wife to go to the branch and tell them what happened. And asked them if the item is broken when we open it at home. Who’s going to pay the driver to take it back to them again...? You will not believe what the manager said. She said how does she know if it’s broken or not and they won’t do anything because I already signed the papers. Mind that papers I signed are papers that say I collected the item. There was no fragile stamp on it to show that they checked the item and it’s okay.

My wife left. They called and said they’re going to send someone to assemble to the item they said that on Wednesday on the 3rd of June 2020. Even today we are still waiting. Thank God I work also in retail business on the Home side and I know how to assemble furniture otherwise. We would still be waiting. Me and my wife we are never buying there again. Those people they don’t know how to run a business.
