are we being sold second hand goods?

in 2013 we bought our samsung toploader washing machine and a defy oven, stove and extractor, the oven stopped functioning in 2015 just after the 2 years guarantee, then recently the washing machine stopped functioning the plate from underneath is no longer spinning and is loose, my concern is that when the washing machine \plate\" was removed it has some numbers hand written underneath, is this from the factory or it had been repaired before? then the oven, is it a coincidence that 2 different manufacturers produced something that could not see a 3 year life span at least? and we had bought the Hisense French door fridge recently we are now worried about it as well what if it also stops working before 5 years at the very least. just to add, my mother has the same washing machine which was bought at Game 2 years before ours but ours broke first. are your electronics brand new from the supplier or were we sold second hand goods as brand new?
