Hotels.com underhand charging

Beware - hotels.com will rip you off without you knowing about it. I booked a one-night stay at a hotel in Centurion via the hotels.com website. The price they quoted was R1447. When I checked my credit card statement, I saw that they had charged me R1665.00 ( they decided to add some 'taxes' on - no mention of this on their website). Also I was charged R49 by my bank for an 'international transaction fee' because the credit card transaction is processed in Spain.
