Worst Valentines Day Experience Ever!!!!
We made a booking for 2 for a Valentines Dinner for the 14th by emailing the events manager as directed by all their social media posts in Instagram, we got an email confirmation from her to confirm a booking for Sunday 18h30. We arrive at 18h30, first we can't find the restaurant as the restaurant shown in their posts is temporarily closed and we with another couple go up and down the elevators struggle to find the restaurant, eventually I call hotel reception to be told the restaurant as indicated on the 5th floor is temporarily closed we need to go down to level 1. On our arrival, I say we made a booking, they can't find our booking, we see the restaurant is rather empty, which is quite strange for a "fully booked" restaurant. We're escorted to a table and we're told "here's the menu, sorry there's no tapas available" to which I say but we're booked for the Valentines Day set menu. To which the waiter then tell us it was for the previous night. So we decide to rather leave as it's already a terrible experience. On our way out a waiter calls us back after she was on the phone with someone and apparently there was 2 more couples experiencing the same situation as us, to which she offers us a bottle of wine and say the chef will "throw something together". Thank you but no thank you, one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant, especially for a booking made in advance for a special occasion!!!!
