How Infinity Resturant/Hotel Sky CPT ruined our birthday celebration

Booked a table for 5 , for a birthday celebration for a friend who flew in from Johannesburg with her baby. I communicated with Asheeqah , and further asked whether there would be any problems/ changes to our booking given the time of arrival and I was told - the resturant is not busy so we could still proceed with our booking. We requested a birthday plate for the celebration and a baby chair. We would do the skyride/ spectator too.

We ordered drinks , and before our food came out,we were removed to go sit at the high chairs with not so much as clarification on what was happening.

From then on the service deteriorated. From incorrectly placed cutlery to having no space for the baby chair requested.

From the time that the plates were placed on the table - not once did any waiter nor Asheeqah come to ask if there was anything else we needed. We ran out of drinks and no one was on the floor to assist with further orders. We finished our meal and no one came to clear the plates. The birthday lady wanted our waitress Asheeqah to recommend a child friendly meal we could order for her baby , but she was no where in sight.

I asked one of the waitresses who was setting up a different table to help clear the table. She took what she could and did not return for the rest.

We waited and looked around for Asheeqah with no success. We ran late for the skyride/ spectator session. The birthday plate was nowhere in sight, we thought to order dessert but no one came to our table. I went to the BAR to ask for the Bill. Once the bill was handed to us 'again no one came to take payment. Instead our waitress/ host shafeeqah still sparked up conversations with her colleagues at the bar. I again went to the bar and asked to make payment . I queried the cake plate to which Asheeqah acted surprised and "thought " we would say when to bring it out- she failed to remedy that too.She did however remember to ask whether we were tipping her for her . Needless to say - Utterly dissapointing choice. I had a better experience in Sandton.

The restaurant/ hotel only boasts of great views but not the service delivery to match unless ofcourse you fit the " profile" of whom they deem as worth actual proper service delivery and hospitality.

Clearly management does nothing about the service complaints recieved as per ongoing negative reviews.

Worst dining experience in Cape Town. Food: 2/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 1/5
