Disheartened
My husband booked a 2 night stay for my birthday. The check in process was a breeze and the guy who assisted us Ismaeel was very pleasant and efficient. Later that same evening I went to ground floor to get some coffee and cake, one of the staff advised that the restaurant had closed and that I had to make use of the one on 26th floor as they will be able to assist me. Up I went 26 floors with my very pregnant body only to be turned away by the waiter Sergio who said they only served cake at lunch time. Now as an employee in the service environment, this was unacceptable. Whether you're working on the ground floor or 50th floor, there needs to be cohesiveness. I brushed it off and went to my room. The next morning I had a shower and the mechanism holding the shower came down and fell on my right shoulder, my husband reported this to the front desk at about 7am and at 1pm, it had still not been fixed. Yeah I understand it was unfortunate but this gives me an indication that preventative maintenance is not done regularly. I think what blew my mind even more was that I did not receive as much as an apology from anyone. My husband requested a little something special upon reservation as it was my birthday the 13/11/21 which the email from the hotel confirmed that they'd place a little gift in the room. Again there wasn't an expectation but they shouldn't be making offers they can't deliver on. I was put off by this experience and my birthday weekend was not what I had hoped it to be and it left me a bit disheartened and I only have the Hotel Sky to thank for it.
