BAD/INSULTING experience at Hotel Sky, Cape Town.

We bought 3 * Wikideals Vouchers that includes the following: 1 night stay for 2 people Buffet breakfast and 2 tickets to the Sky Hi Ride at Hotel Couples spa package at Casuarina Wellness Centre at The Commodore Hotel (V and A Waterfront).

I requested rooms to be on the same level and next to each other. Which was confirmed with the reservationist, Lebo.

Upon arrival, jokes were made about the vouchers. WHY does the staff embarrass us when the vouchers are available to buy for anyone? I don't think Hotel Sky should sell vouchers if one gets treated that way... Then, the rooms were on different levels and when I told the guy assisting me, a look was given and just said he will see what he can do.

He then called another guy, and they had a conversation and then later returned and was being very sarcastic - telling me that "let's just hope you are not here to party as we will just check you out".

Finally, they managed to get rooms on the same level, they needed ID's of us. 4 * drivers license was given, and a smart card ID as well as one normal Greenbook ID - To which yet more sarcastic remarks was given "the person of this ID needs to report to Home Affairs and the police" - MY QUESTION: WHY IS A GREENBOOK ID a problem???? Leaving guests to feel embarrassed in front of other guests and strangers.

Other than that, the stay was okay.

Will definitely think twice before going there again.
