Beware of NO Prepayment required

I did a booking with Hotel Casa Del Lago in Florence, Italy through Booking.com. The conditions clearly stated that NO PREPAYMENT is required and that cancellation will be free to a certain date. However, the moment the booking was done, the full payment went through immediately. It is now more than a month later and I still do not have my money back, despite many e-mails and calls to both the the hotel and Booking.com.

I will definitely not recommend the hotel to anyone. In fact I will tell everyone NOT to book with them as they acted *******ly and do not respond to queries. A DEFINITE NO!!
