HARASSING THE EX-WEBMASTER FOR PAYMENT AND REFUSING TO CONTACT THE OWNER

More than 5 years ago I worked as webmaster for the owner SA Shuttles hosted by Host4Africa. This year, the owner decided that he no longer needed the website and stopped payment. Host4Africa sent me a notification of outstanding monies and I informed them that I was not the account holder. They insisted that I am responsible for the payment because they have my ID number, e-mail address, and cellphone number and continued to harass me. NOT ONCE did they make any effort to contact the owner of the website.

I requested proof of liability and was informed that it was an electronic agreement where I agreed to certain terms and conditions, so they do not need to supply proof. I do not recall agreeing to make payment of any kind and never supp**** any bank details.
My issue here is the refusal of Host4Africa's accounts department to MAKE ANY EFFORT to collect the monies from the person whom I clearly indicated to them was the owner, and who has been paying for the website since the begining. (The amount has increased from R64.49 to R153.49 over a two month period.)

I see their refusal to contact the website owner as harassment because the matter would have been concluded by now had they done so - I contacted him and he is willing to settle the matter.

If it was about the money there should not be any issue as to WHO is making the payment. Holding me liable for something that I have never paid a single cent towards, based on an agreement for which proof cannot be provided, and refusing to contact the obvious owner of the site, and threatening me with a negative IT listing and legal action clearly constitutes harassment and I feel that an apology is in order.
