Hortors Lease Agreement Flawed

This email send 4 times and to date no response!........I have a problem that I hope you can advise on. My son rented out part of the house he lives in to a tenant and used one of your Hortor’s Lease Agreements. The tenant left 3 days before the end of the month without giving any notice which left my son in a precarious position of not having a tenant but having to pay double rental which he did using her deposit towards it. This tenant is now threatening legal action against him as she says there is no clause in the Horters Lease Agreement that says she had to give a month’s notice. Is this not mandatory for any lease ? She states that as the lease was coming to an end she didn’t have to give notice – your lease only states that if a tenant wishes to renew the lease they need to give a calender month’s notice and she is using the clause as an out not to pay the rent and demanding her deposit back.

Please can you assist with some advice and clarification of this lease.
