Disappointing Stay at Hornbill Lodge

I was booked to stay at Hornbill Lodge for 3 days while working in the area. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. On the first night, a storm hit, and I noticed the roof in my room was leaking, leaving my bed wet. Since it was late (after 10 p.m.), I simply placed a towel on the bed and tried to get some sleep.

The next morning, I woke up to an even worse surprise. The bed was infested with bed bugs – it looked like pepper scattered across the sheets. I was bitten all over and couldn’t believe the condition of the room. I immediately informed my client, but I was told no alternative accommodation could be arranged. I also notified the lodge about the situation.

If you don’t mind dealing with bed bugs, having to boil your clothes, and steam cleaning your luggage, then this place might work for you. However, based on my experience, I can't recommend it.
