Hopscotch promised me the world and delivered disappointment. I asked three separate times before paying my deposit if I would be guaranteed a ski-slope placement. Every single time, I was told YES. I paid, trusting them. After that? Excuses, delays, and no placement. Their Instagram ad screamed “15 spots left,” creating false urgency and pressure to sign up. Yes, I did eventually receive a refund, and I appreciate that. But a refund cannot erase the stress, wasted time, or broken trust. I had already arranged with a company I’ve dreamed of working for over the past three years, who kindly gave me grace to finish this process first. They didn’t just waste my money they wrecked plans I’ve worked toward for this year. Their **** urgency and misleading guarantees completely derailed my dream season. What hurts even more is the ripple effect this caused. I had been working with a trusted travel agent ready to assist with my journey, and because of Hopscotch’s false promises, I unintentionally messed them around. Even worse, my parents now think I was lying about what was promised to me. The embarrassment and guilt from that are something I’ll never forget, all because I trusted a company that didn’t deliver on its word. Hopscotch, do not contact me about this review, as you’ve done with others who shared their experiences. I’ve said what I needed to say, and my experience speaks for itself. No amount of “clarification” or PR spin can undo the false promises, stress, and disappointment your process caused. My intention is to warn others, not reopen a conversation that should never have been necessary. Your marketing paints a picture of a friendly, supportive team helping students live their dream seasons. The truth? It’s smoke and mirrors. Once you’ve paid, that “support” turns into cold, copy-paste replies and zero accountability. You can refund a payment, but you can’t refund the hope, trust, and excitement you took from someone chasing a dream.
