I am very disappointed as I app**** at Hoerskool Riebeekrand as it is 2km away from where I live, and my granddaughter was not even considered before the school reached its full capacity, and the reason why it reached its full capacity is that it is not even considering the communities around the area close to it, they are taking children who live in Toekomsrus which is not even close to the school, my family members who live in Toekomsrus has children and their children has been accepted at Riebeekrand but I who live 2km's away is not accepted I am 71 years old, my grandaughter's mom abandoned her, and left me to take care of her, I have to take a taxi to get her to school and a taxi to fetch her, in my old age, and I was hoping that Riebeekrand will accept her because it is much closer to me than Randfontein high school and taxi availability is much easier, but Riebeekrand got full because they have accepted children that dont even live in their area, that is GDE for you and how you operate
