DISHONEST & NO PRIDE OR SHAME

On 14 March 2018 my company, MES Consultants South Africa, of which I am the Chief Operations Officer, contacted Carlos Frazao of Honest & Proud Electrical & Security to assist us in correcting a faulty gate motor. We suspected that it might be the gate motor, but are a marketing agency and not battery specialists. According to our Office Manager Carlos did not test the battery of the gate, but told us that the battery of the gate motor was fine & the motor needed to be replaced as it had seized. He suggested installing a stronger battery for the gate. Under suspicion we requested another quote and that report stated the following: • Motor was simply dusty and was cleaned at no charge • Motor was serviced 9 months ago and date of service was written on the motor • Battery was totally flat and was due to be replaced as it was more than two years old • We were supp**** me with a universal key for the motor and had the door fixed at NO CHARGE • We were informed that we don’t need a stronger motor as the gate is not that heavy and the motor was fine for the size of the gate

The total cost for repairs to have our gate in working condition was R550.00 from the second company. Carlos quoted us R6,290.00.
