Money Pit.
I can share my frustration.I purchased a Honda Ballade on recommendation.Having previously owned two Honda Motorcycles I saw no reason not to due to the above excellent service received from my two motorcycles.
First of all it is not a Ballade so do not expect Ballade level service. It is actually a Honda City that is badged a Ballade in ZA.
Shortly after buying the car downward spiral began.First was the front brake discs that decided to warp. Then over a short period of time all shockabsorber mounts had to be replaced.I had to have the one rear stubaxle and bearing replaced.I had a large amount of parts failing that got passed off as wear and tear items. This car was a bag of spanners. Also these spares we're failing way prematurely. This car really sucked me dry.
I got a distinct feeling that the DP was just "amusing" me as he really did not look after my interests as a customer. He was very non committal and evasive at times.
The rest of the staff was no beter and some times even telling you bald face lies.
Sorry don't know what the advantage is of buying a Honda as it just unforseen costs and all-round prohibitive running and servicing cost. Got stung 10k for a lubrication service.
Honda is riding a reputation in South Africa that they lost decades ago with the original Ballade.
Also all their reasons for the failures were successfully counter argued by me being mechanically minded and driving for 40 years. Most of their arguments was centered around "The Customer is responsible".The Customer does not exercise enough care whilst operating the vehicle and so forth.
I have since offloaded this vehicle.I have moved on to a other manufacturer that is serving me so much better, from the get go.
