Rust problems and out of warranty

I bought a Honda Ballade in 2011. It has JUST expired the warranty. The car is rusting even though I do not live in an area prone to rust and the car has spent most of its life in a garage at night and a parking garage by day. Honda boasts good quality vehicles (and charges for it). But this car cannot be classed high quality. My previous car was a Honda Jazz and is still going well. It is strong and has had no problems. Clearly, Honda is now compromising quality in their newer cars, and they use the lack of warranty available to shrug off their responsibility and bad workmanship.
