Price of new spare parts

The front fender of my bike is scratched and I ask Honda for a quote to replace the panel as big as 2 A4 folios. They quoted R6500. It is basically a painted plastic panel. I think it is ridiculous and Honda must be ashamed of overcharging its customers.<br> <br> A year ago I needed a new chain and sprocket. Honda charged for the chain R1500. I had chain and sprocket preplaced by well known bike shop Trac Mac in Bellville and paid, labour included, R1300. I am very satisfied with the parts Trac Mac uses.<br> <br> Not long ago I needed new front brakes. Honda charged me R800 just for the new brake pads. Again I went to Trac Mac and they did it all, labour included, for about R400. Again proof of how Honda is shamelessly overcharging and exploiting customers. <br> <br> And I want to ask Honda not to come and explain to us about import taxes and that nonsense. Rather apologise and stop overcharging and exploiting your customers.<br> <br> I have been a Honda fan since 1976 when I drove a Honda Benly 110cc bike for the first time. But really Honda, you are now chasing loyal customers away.<br> <br> All I ask is to pay a fair price and that Honda must stop exploiting loyal fans and customers.
