HEAVY ON PETROL

Two years ago I bought a Honda Jazz top of the range. After filling up with petrol twice I was horrified to discover that I was using between 12.00 and 13.00 litres for 100 km.<br> I spoke to the service manager at Honda Melrose and he tried various things but nothing really helped as the best I can get on the car is 10.4 litres for 100km even though the sticker on the window says I should get 6.7.<br> The manager told me that he would make arrangements with Honda SA to test my car. Excuses were made why they could never do it. Obviously once the car has been sold they are not interested.<br> (My old Toyota 1.6 that I had for 12 years did 9.2 lt per 100km at worst.) The only thing I look at while driving is the petrol consumption. I stop people with the same car in the street to ask them about their petrol consumption. Most people say it is heavy on petrol. . My friend with a BMW 320 uses less petrol than I do. <br> On the open road I can bring the consumption down but unfortunately I did not buy this car to travel round the country.<br> I have had 9 cars including 4 Toyotas and have never used as much petrol as with this Honda.<br>
