Damages to vehicle

On the 5th, I dropped my functional vehicle that had been moving to the Dealership in Bedfordview hoping for a proper diagnosis and service. On the 6th, I was told that the service will be about R5000. I refused the quote because I had not taken my car for dealership service in a while and was not aware of the prices being charged but was happy to get a proper diagnostic report that would enable me to fix any problems presented. In discussion with a colleague who owns a VW Polo, I was made aware that the R5000 is reasonable given the size of my vehicle. In addition, given that the vehicle was presented to me with faults that were not there when I left it with the dealer, I was prepared to drive to the dealer for a fix because it was parked since the Saturday (7th) until the Thursday(12th) because it is not in a condition to drive. The service Manager immediately said the vehicle has problems with misfiring when I reached the dealership and I requested a proper diagnostic to understand how this could have happen because it did not have these problems and I had done a very long trip to Limpopo without any problems. Since there was no scientific explanation other than accusations by the Service Manager of not having serviced the vehicle and that I should expect anything to happen to the vehicle, I requested through the service agent for a timed diagnostic report before and after they worked on the car on both days. A timed diagnostic report is not available and the ONLY FAULTS are those they were SURPRISINGLY aware of. In most of the documents that I have been provided with in the attachments to the email, a time is clearly indicated. I would like Honda Southern Africa to intervene because my car is still parked TODAY following the damage it sustained whilst in the car of the Bedfordview dealership.

I had requested for the Dealer Principal to intervene and was promised a response to my email for an explanation. This was reiterated to the official who called me today for a rating to the service I received and at the time of writing I had not heard back from the Dealer Principal.

The other mechanics who worked on the car including those associated with Bosch did not charge this much and the vehicle was left FUNCTIONAL. My request is that my vehicle be repaired at the Dealership’s cost because the problems that are there were not there when I left the vehicle on the 5th April 2018. I have recording of the evasive responses to my questions that both the Service Manager and Dealer Principal were making especially relating to a diagnostic report. Kindly indicate if these will be required for your assistance in this complaint. I wrote to ********** without acknowledgement or response and have to seek your help. Thank you
