Never Rent at Homii, 0 customer service

This place is pathetic. I do not even have the energy to write this review. Worst place to go.

Do not waste your money and time on this place.

- WhatsApp number is not working - considering how bad the standard of the room I signed in, I don’t think they check & clean before letting a new tenant in. I checked out 15min after checking in due to the terrible state of the room.

- They will tell you about the Ts & Cs of cancellation policy. Which I read and understood

The 7-day clause, mentioned in the HOMii cancellation policy, is generally applicable to cancellations made prior to the commencement of the stay. It doesn't directly address the condition of the property upon check-in.

I booked the room 2 nights before moving in and discovered the room in unsatisfactory condition it was totally bad, the 7-day clause wouldn't directly apply to this situation.

the room's condition is significantly different from what was advertised or expected, and I told them that it would impact my ability to enjoy the property.

But beyond the written Ts & Cs, there are imp**** terms of service that hosts have to comply with. This includes providing accommodation that is of a reasonable standard, fit for purpose, and as described in the listing.

I have been far too patient, in fact this happened in November 2023, it is almost February 2024. I have been getting meaningless phone calls asking for proof of payments (which I sent twice). The third time I declined, I told them to look for them via email as there was a thread of emails.

I have then decided to escalate the matter myself since Homii is not receptive & unhelpful.

I am now exploring mediation or dispute resolution services offered by the Property Ombudsman.

It is important to also mention that I am not doing all this because I only just want my money back. I have money, I could’ve just left it just like that but I am doing this because it is the right thing to do. I have been a Property Practitioner in Greenpoint Cape Town registered with the PPRA now working for a well known financial services firm.

Dispute bad services, dispute companies like Homii that have 0 interests on clients hiding behind policies.

I genuinely hope you do not book there, there are many 1 star rating reviews for that company.
