HOMII Cape Town - A CRACK HOUSE

I moved into Homii Lifestyle's Valencia building in Cape Town a little more than two months ago. From the outset, there were major issues with the tech in terms of the WiFi not working or working intermittently, and the app, on which they base so much of their business model is down more than it is working.

When I moved in, only the 1st and 2nd floors were occupied as they were still renovating the other floors. The place was quite nice and peaceful. Over the past six weeks however, this building has filled to almost full capacity, and it has honestly become a nightmare experience living here.

Every singly day there are people smoking **** and consuming all sorts of other drugs in the communal areas on the 7th floor. People urinate in the BASIN in the bathroom on that 7th floor. Monday mornings there is often vomit to be seen, either on the 7th floor, or outside on the deck where people who have had way too much to drink have obviously spilt their guts. There is a foul stench of **** and stale beer all over the place. I imagine it's what a CRACK HOUSE smells like.

There is almost NEVER an available Washing Machine or Dryer in the Laundry now and people leave their clothing in the machines hours after their cycles have finished because they go about their drinking and smoking and forget about their ****.

And, as for COVID protocols, there is absolutely NO adherence to regulations as everybody walks around mask-less, coughing and sneezing all over the place. This is a COVID infection hotspot waiting to happen, and even I, being double vaccinated, am very concerned about my safety.

Honestly speaking, for the amount of money you pay here, there are in fact much better, and safer options available and I would highly recommend that people do not support this organization and its business model, given that there is very little corporate will to rectify these issues.
