Not abiding to Consumer Goods Ombudsman ruling

A complaint was lodged to the Consumer Goods and Service Ombudsman against Brent and Homexterior ( Ref No: ***) for equipment (1.1 kw pool pump and 3 bag sand filter) which had been paid for but not received (0.75 kw pool pump and 2 bag filter installed). Conversations with the staff at the Ombudsman's office (all calls are recorded) revealed that they had difficulty getting hold of Brent and that he was not responding to their e-mails and thereby delaying the process of the resolution of this matter.<br> <br> A ruling was made on 25 November 2014 on this matter. To date, Brent had not initiated any attempt to settle the matter by honouring the ruling of the Ombudsman. I sent him e-mails on 28 January 2015, 16 February 2015 and a recorded telephone conversation on 16 Feb 2015 on which he promised to pay by the end of the day. To date still no payment and no commitment from Brent to honour the ombudsman ruling as a result of his oversight in the completion of our pool.<br> <br> Reponses from Brent on Hello Peter indicate that if he is right he defends it via contract, if wrong he attacks the person directly. Maybe this forum is enough motivation for him to honour commitments he makes.
