Most Unprofessional Movers - Homes in Transit

I am astounded at this unprofessional company. They quoted me to move from bedfordview to Parktown north. I dealt with Emily Mugandu who I gave a detailed list of the items that I wanted moved. She also assured me that covers for the mattress and couches would be provided. I paid extra for bubble wrap to wrap a large mirror and the tvs.

On the day of the move yesterday the 2 March 2022 the movers were scheduled to arrive at my place at 9. They arrived at 12. The truck was far too small, dirty and wet inside. They borrowed a mop from me to mop the back of the truck. I immediately phoned Emily and said this truck is to small. She spoke to her supervisor and they told me that they will fit my items in by piling them on top of one another. They had no protective blankets no covers for any of my furniture and the truck was wet and dirty. They refused to send a bigger truck, to refund me my money or make two trips. The supervisor or owner told me I would have to pay more. I had used girls on the move the month before they were completely professional, had all the equipment, and their truck was much bigger and their price was similar.

Afraid of losing my money as I had paid in full I went ahead with the move. Having to transport items in my own vehicles. Needless to say my furniture was damaged. Chunks of wood taken out of the dining room table, coffee.table and a broken chair.

I sent an email this morning informing them and received no response.

A more unprofessional moving company you will not find. Their staff had no trolley for big items no toolkit to assemble items ( this was explicitly requested and I was assured they would assemble dismantled furniture). No covers for furniture and no protective blankets. They are a complete sham.

Never use them they are ********* and have no respect for your things.

A more unprofessional company I have not come across.
