Refusing to return my Laybye deposit R500

Very bad experience and unprofessional people,,,, inconsiderate towards customers, I laybyed a TV stand only to have a funeral at my house where my sister passed on due to covid,, so this means I have to take care of her kids, I asked the store to refund so I buy stuff for school and also I will not be able to afford it as I have more kids I need to look after but they just refused and said when ever I am ready I can come back they cant refund me period
