Lie about what they sell. Lie about returns and lie about quality.

I ordered an L shaped sofa based on their listing in Facebook Marketplace.

I asked if I could come and see it at a showroom, Jerome said they deliver COD. I asked if I could return it if not happy as I’ve been burned before buying unseen. He said “gladly”.

Anyway, it arrived during the day and after work Ihad a look at it. It’s a very bad copy of the picture they use to sell it.

Sort of the same shape, as hard as a plank, and so cheap they try and save material by stretching it so tight that all the seams are already coming apart.

I contacted Jerome saying I was very disappointed and it looks nothing like the picture.

He refused to take it back. Even though it was the very same day it was delivered and I offered to pay for transport.

He then said terms are COD and by accepting the delivery I can’t return it. This is against the law.

So… Lies about quality. Said it was “world class”, - nope it’s terrible quality. lies about “gladly accepting returns. But doesn’t accept returns even though he is obliged to by law. Lies about what he sells. The picture used in the advertising is NOT the item you get. So probably just found a picture from a good manufacturer on the internet and then makes terrible ****s and sells them to suckers like me.
