Unacceptable Delay in Receiving Paid-Up Letter After Settlement Payment

I am extremely disappointed with HomeChoice’s service. In February 2025, I received a call and we agreed on a settlement amount for my account. I immediately paid the agreed fee and requested a paid-up letter—something that should be standard procedure after settling a debt.

Since then, I’ve been sent from pillar to post. Despite numerous follow-ups, I still haven’t received my paid-up letter. The legal department, which I’ve been told to contact repeatedly, is unreachable—the legal accounts number ***) rings endlessly with no answer. The call centre has been no help either; they keep referring me back to the legal team.

All I want is my paid-up letter so I can close this chapter and move on. I upheld my end of the agreement—why is it so difficult for HomeChoice to uphold theirs?

This has been a frustrating and emotionally draining experience. I expected more professionalism and efficiency.
