********. *****. False advertising.

I was recently contacted by homechoice saying I qualify for an account. I decided to complete the process online. On their registration page it says you get R3000 to shop immediately.

I did the application and was told I have an R800 preliminary credit pending a full credit check where I had to submit my documents for assessment.

It's been 2 weeks and I am back and forth with them over the phone and emails. These idiots didn't even tell me that they don't accept retail account statements as proof of address. Corrected all my documents yesterday to only be told today that my credit limit is R800. What bull****. Absolutely false advertising on the website firstly. Secondly I have credit cards with limits of up to R40 000 how can I only qualify for R800 with a small retailer like homechoice?

Their application process is absolutely bull****. I've never heard of a place where you need to place an order first and then only you are vetted. Secondly you cannot place an order for more than your credit limit which their systems or staff estimate.

False advertising. Zero customer service. I had to call and ask them to close the account today because it's worthless. What the hell am I gonna do with R800 credit when all the items average at around R1800?

Absolutely ridiculous. Every service agent tells you a different story when you phone. They all have an attitude and don't know what's going on. You call the processing dept and you can't get through.

Firstly you guys lost a customer. Secondly I want someone to contact me regarding the false advertising on the website saying you get R3000 instantly to shop. What ****en bull****. And customer services doesn't even know that you guys advertise this. Your business should not be in operation because of the extreme incompetence in every regard.

After the call they still cannot explain why they advertise R3000 credit to shop immediately. This is advertised without any fine print of if you pass a credit check or upon approval. None of that is listed. And they cannot explain their false advertising.
