Pathetic customer service

Sometime in towards the end of August or beginning September 2016 I placed an order online for a 32 piece bedroom linen set. The order was confirmed and delivered and upon receipt I realised I did not like the material used. I then called Home Choice enquiring about their return policy and it was explained to me. On 9 September I arranged for the package to be posted and paid the insurance fee as required, which I was advised will be refunded to me as soon as receipt of the parcel is confirmed and credited by Home Choice. On 12 September then posted proof of the postage slip as I was informed to do so, so that I will not be debited at the end of the month.

To my surprise at the end of September 2016 I was debited for the order I had returned on 9 September and when I called to enquire I was told that the order has not been received and that I must check with the post office I had posted from to check the whereabouts of the package. I then went to the post office and was told the package reached the destination and that Home Choice must send a messenger with the reference number to fetch the package. I have since made numerous calls to resolve this issue and to date it has not been resolved and each time I call I am provided with a different reference number and promises made that the warehouse will be instructed to fetch the parcel so that my account can be credited and the refund processed. I have even asked to speak to a floor manager as the customer service agents cannot assist in resolving this matter but to no avail.

The service I have experienced is pathetic and frustrating and can someone senior take responsibility and call me back to resolve this once and for all!!

This better be soon as from experience promises have been made but to date no one has called me to resolve this issue!
