Paid up account added interest.

on the 10th of April, i paid up my account, balance was 1027.73 and i paid R1300, now i get a statement dated 8 May 2019, with interest of R16.61 added to the account and shows i am owing R14.34. is this some kind of a joke, this is really taking advantage of your credit system.
