Misrepresentation of partners & unprofessional conduct
I am the owner of Excel Logistics. I can confirm that we do not do courier shipments or parcels for Homechoice or have any dealings with them whatsoever. However, we have for the last few months been receiving daily calls from their customers asking about the delivery of their packages.
Initially, their customers would call Homechoice about their orders and when they would be delivered. They were told by whoever they spoke to that their parcels were with Excel Logistics for delivery. They were not given an email, contact person or telephone number. They would proceed to look up Excel Logistics on the internet, find our company and contact us about the delivery. Now it seems they even go so far as to give our telephone number with our company name.
At first, I thought there might be another genuine company with the same name and it was a simple mistake, but now I am sure they are doing it on purpose. I presume that the reason is to hide or protect the actual courier for whatever reason or there is something more sinister at play where internally their staff are working some kind of ****. I have had ****mers before using our logo, so it could be a similar group.
I have sent numerous emails to them and have not had one proper reply, besides the usual automated return email.
What makes it even more frustrating is that I managed to make contact via Linkedin with their CEO, Chris de Wit, and explained what was going on and he did not even have the courtesy to call me (after asking for my number).
This situation is damaging both their reputation and ours. I cannot understand why they do not seem to have any interest in resolving it. I have explored the typical paths one would take to fix this issue, but regrettably, it appears now that shouting out on online platforms is my only available option. Stephen Hoarau
