Homechoice ***** too easy for *****sters and company negligent and not respecting my information

About earlier this year i started receiving messages from Home Choice , whom I do not an account with. SMS's from the opening of the account, to asking for payslips and proof of income, right to some SMS'es about orders linked to my cellphone number.

The SMSes are address to a person called Shakes Sekukune who according to home choice has had an account with them registered with my number in 2009. However I've had the number for just over 10 years and its RICA' d and all.

Here's the strange thing: I called Homechoice as the SMS's wouldnt stop and found that there is an account with my number as a contact number and no alternative contact number for this person.

I asked the operator how is this guy receiving his orders because clearly the SMS's are going to me, let alone how did he open the account if he didn't receive the SMS?

The operator said i should speak to my cellphone service provider, whom I've already spoken to , and they verified that numbers get recycled/reallocated when they not used for 3 years, which is not the case with my number.

The Homechoice team is adamant that this is an issue with my cellphone network provider, ignoring the fact that they have my number on their system, without my consent on their system, and someone is going around shopping and *****ently using my number.

Okay I ask the operator for their ***** department number to report ***** to them because the fact that my number is linked to this mystery account - it actually compromises me like im a part of this. The operator from the ***** department basically tells me i must do an affadavit saying im not a Homechoice customer (imagine just to remove my number or have them do their work as a company by doing a background check) and also he said i should email a copy of my id.

So at this point i asked myself , why should I email a copy of my ID to a company that fails to do information verification services on their customers? When I asked the operator what guarantee is there that my information will be protected he couldn't answer.

So Homechoice please remove my number off of Shake Sekukunes account, and start beefing up your information verification services and training your people. RICA came in effect in 2005, yet a number registered in 2001 on your system which was not RICA'd is a valid number?

I would appreciate a response to this, I
