Homechoice - credit checks without approval (unable to assist with ***** investigation)

I checked my credit score on Clearscore. The following Credit Query has shown: 1st July 2023. I have not made any applications. Why does this reflect on my Credit Report Summary without approval? I contacted homechoice on 04 July 2023 and spoke to Angesisa requested an investigation as credit checks should not be done without my approval. I was told the profile has been blocked and they unable to investigate as no order was placed. They did not receive documentation from the person who opened a profile with my details... The person used a different cellphone number which homechoice will not provide to me. I did request an email stating all the information discussed as this is affecting my credit score (not received yet). This needs to be investigated as homechoice should not be doing credit checks without approval. If homechoice did not receive documentation from the person committing *****, why do a credit check??? This does not make sense. I did request to speak to a manager and the first consultant told me they can only take my number down. This is absolutely bad customer service if your management don't even take calls.
