********** debit orders
I have no account, and have never done any business with Homechoice, yet suddenly there is a debit order on my account. Do they have no systems to avoid ********** activities? Do they not check that the account holder is indeed who they say they are? That the bank account belongs to the person who claims to authorise the debit order? Or do they simply not care?

05 Oct 2022, 10:26After discussing the situation with the account manager (3 October), my case was referred to the ***** investigation department. This morning (5 October), I got a letter in which they acknowledged that it was *****, that they closed the account, and that they would communicate with the credit bureau to clear my record.
Hopefully, they will do that. I would also have preferred they would give me the information and documentation that the ********** used (according to POPIA, you have the right to all information tied to your identity) to protect myself.
