On the 17th of June2020 I got an email as well an sms from ABSA stating that Home Choice has sent a request to disclose my bank statement for a loan I took with HomeChoice and that if I did not give consent for such I should call the ***** department and I just read through the email and let it be since I do not have any account or any relation with HomeChoice. As I was about to do transfers on my other account for debit orders I woke up to a msg that I have been Debited R400 by HomeChoice and it came as a shock to me because I have no account with them and I remembered the email which I got from ABSA, than I started investigating and happened to stumble across reviews of people having the same issue today on 31 July 2020. So I have taken a decision to sue for obtaining my financial records in a ********** manor and also for debiting my account unless it can prove in court that I once had an encounter with them, a telephonic contract or a signed contract which states that indeed I have a loan with them or any kind of contract with them, emotional distress and my legal fees
