Disgusting Service from HomeChoice

Again, I am disappointed by the service received from HomeChoice. I submitted a review a few weeks back about an Empisal 9D overlocker purchased from HomeChoice that stopped working 2 weeks after just 3 uses. The customer service agent that I spoke to on the phone gave me a reference number and asked me to go to the store to get the overlocker exchanged. He had even confirmed that everything is in order on their system.

Inconveniently, I drove for about 40min into JHB central, as requested, to get the overlocker exchanged at the HomeChoice showroom only for them to hand me a slip and telling me that they need to get the overlocker assessed (which will take 7 - 21 working days) before proceeding. I was advised incorrectly over the phone and then told something else in the HomeChoice showroom. I have no energy to fight with HomeChoice about this and it's sad because my purchase experience was pleasant but their after-sales service is horrible.

After leaving the showroom, HomeChoice has not bothered to call me to update me. I've called numerous times and the customer service agents say there is no update for me on the system or the latest one said they haven't even collected the overlocker from the showroom to be assessed yet and now it may take longer than 21 days... all this after I told them that I require this machine for my business.

I am really disappointed with this service. The overlocker was faulty and that's why it gave up after 3 uses but now I am inconvenienced because HomeChoice just doesn't care about their customers. I get calls every other day though from a salesperson asking me to purchase additional HomeChoice products... how does that work?? Firstly, sort out one thing and replace my overlocker before asking me to purchase more defective products!

Please, everyone, think twice before shopping at HomeChoice. You will be greatly disappointed and you will receive the worst service ever. Don't waste your money and time no matter how tempting.
