Account status

I opened this account last year just to find out that it is not n credit account but a loan. I have settled this account and phoned homechoice numerous times that I want them to close this account as it is reflecting on my credit report as open loan. Al they could tell me is that they can’t close the account so my question to them was how does it allow you to open but not close the account. Every time I phone the consultant told me that I will be put through to the manager but then left me hanging for minutes. I want this account to reflect as close. Surely every lender has that option!!!! And this is something that they can’t deny!!!!
