Account **********ly opened

An account was **********ly opened in my name in July 2020. I only found out about it at the end of December 2020 when HomeChoice’s attorneys, MBD, called me to chase up on the R4000 I supposedly spent. I filled in all the relevant ***** dispute documents and submitted the accompanying documents in December. We are now in February of 2021 and I haven’t received any acknowledgement that my issue is being addressed. Neither from HomeChoice nor MBD Attorneys. I have sent several emails that appear to be going into a blackhole. Whenever I call, I have to explain my entire issue with a new person everytime. I always ask for a manager and end up on-hold indefinitely. Something that is of particular interest to me is that a few days before the account was **********ly opened, I knew that I was over extended on my Credit. I was unable to open a cellphone contract at the time. So I’m REALLY interested to know how HomeChoice was able to grant credit on against my name. It smacks of reckless lending. Something I have sought legal counsel on. Judging by several similar posts here on HelloPeter, there is something definitely wrong with HomeChoice’s application and vetting process.
