Aquaflosser is a dud brand

I bought an Aquaflosser in 2015 and after a few months it would no longer charge. I wrote to the email address on the item to ask if I could have it repaired. I also did some research and saw that many people had the same issue with the same product. I asked the company employee about this, and she said the items are made in China and some batches are bad but they don't know in advance which ones are good or not. No apology, no reassurance, just this refusal to take responsibility for consumers who are stupid enough to buy your product.

Somehow, Homebrand has managed to get reputable shops like Clicks and Dischem to stock this item - a matter I will take further with those shops.

I paid for the repair and sent the item to Cape Town (I'm in Joburg). I've just received it back, and the entire unit is completely dead. I had sent the charger in the same package, in case it was the problem rather than the unit (this isn't a standard charger like a cell phone item). When when I sent it, the charger still worked (showed a red light). Now even the light doesn't work.

I have now spent hundreds of rands on this piece of ****.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY AN AQUAFLOSSER or send it for repair!

I will escalate this issue to the shops that stock this item, and I hope the local company will start to take responsibility for whatever goes wrong in China as well as South Africa. Is this really your best style, Homebrands? I will warn people. I got this item because I had to have jaw surgery and I can no longer floss with tape. I wasted my money - and hope - on your **** product.
