Very bad service from @Home (TFG Group)

A month ago, I opened a store account with @Home (Somerset West, CT). I wanted to buy chairs to the value of R4000. I was then told I need to pay in a deposit of R3000. No one bothered to tell me that I could buy something small just to pay in the deposit. I thought the required amount is R3000. I just called the Service Centre and informed the consultant. He indicated that I could have bought something for maybe R100 just to activate the account. When I opened the account, I did not budget for a pay-in so it really upsets me that at the store no one bothered to tell me this. Recently when I went to buy another item, the system asked me to pay in an amount first. The store this time was Sterns. I am really starting to be annoyed with the way @Home or rather the TFG Group operates. I am seriously considering paying this account off and close it cause it is truly upsetting me. The online systems are also not working. I'm truly annoyed at this point

A lady gave me a call. I am still unhappy with the way I was misinformed about this account. There is a lot that I should have been told upfront. I will just pay the balance now and close the account. I do not ever wanna go through this again. TFG clearly doesn't know anything about TCF regulation. It is probably something I need to take this up with cause it is simply unfair.
