Taurus blender not working; receipt lost

I used to love @home. Until recently. On the 17th December 2022 for my 50th birthday I received a 2500 @home voucher from my sister. I spent it in bits and pieces between 19th Dec 2022 to 31 Jan 2023. I bought a Taurus food blender from @home Tzaneen but did'nt open it until in Sept 2023. To my dismay the blender did not work. I returned it to @home Tzaneen where I was told the blender, worth around R1300 could not be replaced as I lost the receipt and they cannot find my name. I am surprised by this. Howc does a shop like @home lose records of purchases? I was told to come at take my blender as there was nothing they could do. I am never buying from that shop again!
