R400 Local delivery charge on R8,000 spend

<p>Yesterday we spent R8,000 on goods from @Home in Willowbridge. Upon paying we were told that the store didn't have enough stock of the items and that they would have to order from the warehouse. We didn't have a problem with that, but when we asked when we could pick up the goods from the store, we were told that there was a R400 delivery charge - whether to the store or to our home in Durbanville. </p> <p> </p> <p>The only alternative option would be to collect the goods from the warehouse in Epping, which is only open on weekdays from 8:00 until 15:00 - not exactly 'customer friendly'...</p> <p> </p> <p>This is a draconic attitude by a retailer who would like to be seen at the forefront. Why can other retailers offer FREE delivery for goods and these guys can't? It's time to join the rest of us in the 21st century, @Home! Their only FREE delivery option is on website orders, however when I tried to order the same goods from the @Home website, there was no 'web stock' available. *******!</p>
